The issue of article posts is an interesting one in Comet, reflecting the tension in its design between the LiveJournal-like immediacy of blogging to friends and family (more like IMing) and the traditional blogging of Typepad (which is more like email.) I always title my posts, since I'm more of a blogger. But I can understand, that if you're using Comet primarily to keep up with friends, that titling a post might seem unnecessary and time-consuming.
The interesting ui question is how to handle posts without titles. Just have a blank space? Then it looks like the system has a bug. An IBM-like "this post intentionally left blank" message where the post title would be? Have Comet create an auto-summary title based on the post's content.
Maybe if the title is left blank Comet should just use the first ten or so words of the post as the title, with an ellipsis to indicate that it is an extract. That might work.
No really comet has _bad_ response time. It's really noticeable from Europe, as a lot of european users pointed out. Where are these keynote graphs? I'm interested.
